  15.         SYMPTOM:  GX mode does not work with HP LaserJet
  16.  
  17.   ISSUE/PROBLEM:  
  18. Glyphix has been tested with DR DOS 6.0 and it exhibits the same
  19. symptoms that it did with DR DOS 5.0. The "GX" mode still does
  20. not work with the HP LaserJet.

  22. If you are using a Hewlett-Packard Series II, IID, or IIIP, you
  23. should be aware of the following restrictions:

  25. GLYPHIX laser font package for WordPerfect 5.1 has three modes of
  26. operation.  You can choose any of the three modes when starting
  27. the application.  Two of the modes are successful with DR DOS. 
  28. The third is not.
  29.  
  30.        SOLUTION: 
  31. It is recommend that you change to GXL or GXS to start Glyphix. 
  32. These two modes run well under DR DOS.
  33.  
  34. GXL.EXE
  35. This is the fastest mode, but it requires the most memory.  (use
  36. DR DOS's memory features and this program should have plenty of
  37. room).  It takes 110K of memory and can print 3-120 point sizes. 
  38. It also allows background printing. 
  39.  
  40. GXS.EXE
  41. The smaller memory version of GXL.EXE.  Allows you to print up to
  42. 60 point, and takes approximately 59K of memory.  It to allows
  43. background printing.

  46. The following mode is not compatible with DR DOS.  It will not
  47. print correctly on the HP printers listed above.

  49. GX.EXE
  50. Requires about 26K of memory.  Also requires over 500K of disk
  51. space to create a temp print file.  
  52.  
  53. If you are using a Hewlett-Packard Deskjet, the Deskjet driver
  54. for Glyphix has no problems.
